911 Addressing

911 Emergency Addressing

Issuing addresses is one of the single most important jobs that we do. Without an accurate and orderly address system, it is difficult to find your home or business quickly during an emergency.

Addressing questions should be directed to Nicole Lund at (816) 586-2751.

NOTE: YOU MUST FIRST PURCHASE THE PROPERTY AND HAVE IT IN YOUR NAME BEFORE ANYTHING FURTHER CAN BE DONE.

The following information MUST be provided to obtain an address:

Name
Phone Number
Road Name/Number where the property is located
The nearest neighbor's address
Whether the property is on the even or odd side of the road.

The following information should be provided if available:

Lot Number (required in established neighborhoods)
Parcel Number
GPS Coordinates

Once you acquire the information above, contact Nicole Lund to set up an appointment.

AFTER you have received your new address but BEFORE you start to build, contact our Planning & Zoning Administrator Mark Merrill.

You can find his contact information and more HERE.
