On 03/02/2025, at 10:22 am, a deputy took a report of theft from a residence at the 100 block of Benton in Kingston, MO. The investigation is ongoing.

 

On 03/02/2205, at 1:30 pm, an 84-year-old male from Braymer, MO, was stopped on State Route A at Hi Point Rd in Braymer, MO, and cited for speeding (16 mph over). 

 

On 03/02/2025, at 2:49 pm, a deputy responded to a vehicle fire at an address on Sunset Road in Hamilton, Caldwell County.  The fire was extinguished by Hamilton Fire.

 

On 03/02/2025, at 4:15 pm, a deputy took a report of an assault that occurred on Old 36 Highway, near Sale Barn Road in Cameron, Caldwell County, MO.  The victim reported pulling over with his family because of vehicle issues when they were confronted by a subject who they thought stopped to assist.  The victim reported the subject, a 38-year-old male from Caldwell County, was consuming alcohol and fired shots towards him and his vehicle, then fled the scene.  A Clinton County deputy attempted to stop the subject for speeding, not knowing about the incident in Caldwell County, which led to a pursuit. The subject was eventually stopped and was apprehended by Clinton County and remains in their custody on numerous Clinton County charges.  A Caldwell County warrant was issued for his arrest for armed criminal action, unlawful use of a weapon, two counts of 2nd degree assault, and 2 counts of 1st degree endangering the welfare of a child, with a bond set at $100,000 cash only.

 

On 03/02/2025, at 7:39 pm, a deputy responded to a residence at the 800 block of E. Broadway Street for a report of a domestic dispute, which resulted in the arrest of a 55-year-old male from Independence, MO for domestic assault.  

 

On 03/02/2025, at 9:16 pm, a deputy responded to a possible suicidal subject at a residence in Cowgill, MO.  The subject fled the scene before a deputy arrived.

 

On 03/04/2025, at 6:40 am, a 17-year-old male from Hamilton, MO, was stopped on Old Highway 36 at Center Road, in Kidder, MO, and cited for speeding (15 mph over). 

 

On 03/04/2025, at 5:17 pm, a deputy conducted a traffic stop at Meadow Lane and Catawba Road, Breckenridge, MO, for traffic violations. The driver, a 33-year-old male from Breckenridge, MO, was issued citations for no driver's license and failure to provide proof of financial responsibility.

 

On 03/06/2025, at 10:25, a deputy responded to the area of Fawn Park Drive at Hideaway Lakes in Polo, MO, for a report of a subject trespassing, which resulted in the arrest of a 57-year-old male from Polo, MO, for trespassing.

 

On 03/06/2025, at 22-year-old male from New Hampton, MO, was arrested at Supervision Services on a Daviess County bond violation warrant on the original charge of possession of a controlled substance.  The subject violated bond conditions by testing positive for a controlled substance.

 

On 03/06/2025, at 3:28 pm, a deputy responded to a residence on Elk Run Drive at Hideaway Lakes in Polo, MO, for a report of a theft from a vehicle.  The investigation is ongoing.

 

On 03/07/2025, the Caldwell County Sheriff's Department opened an investigation in reference to possession of a controlled substance at the Caldwell County Detention Center.  A suspect has been identified, and the investigation is ongoing. 

 

On 03/07/2025, at 12:47 pm, a deputy took a report of an order of protection violation that was reported to have occurred in Polo, MO.   A report was forwarded to the Caldwell County prosecutor.

 

On 03/10/2025, at 1:52 pm, a 25-year-old male from Higginsville, MO, was stopped on Highway 116 at Lincoln, in Cowgill, MO, and cited for failing to register a motor vehicle. 

 

On 03/10/2025 at 3:11 pm, Caldwell County deputies received a walk-in report of an assault.  The suspect was identified as a 50-year-old male from Kidder, MO, and a warrant for domestic assault was issued for his arrest.  The suspect was, but posted the required $10,000 cash only bond and was released from custody pending a court appearance. 

 

On 03/11/2025, at 9:34 am, a deputy took a report of a possible order of protection violation.  Video surveillance of the incident was obtained and showed the suspect did not violate the court order.  The investigation was closed, and no charges were filed.

 

On 03/12/2025, at 10:00 am, deputies responded to a disturbance at a residence on Last Drive, Cameron, Caldwell County, MO.  A 54-year-old male subject from Kansas City, MO was arrested for unlawful possession of a firearm and remains in custody on a $50,000 cash only bond.

 

On 03/13/2025, the Caldwell County Sheriff's Department received a crime tip in reference to harassing communication. The incident was investigated, but no charges were filed.

 

On 03/13/2025, at 11:23 am, a deputy responded to a residence on Visa Rosa Drive in Polo, MO, for a report of a sex offender that failed to register.  A 73-year-old male was taken into custody and turned over to the Caldwell County Detention Center.  The subject remains in custody for failing to register as a sex offender, which holds a $50,000 cash only bond.

 

On 03/13/2025, at 2:24 pm, a 32-year-old male from Midway, AR, was stopped on Highway 36 at Sunset and cited for speeding (10 mph over). 

 

On 03/13/2025, at 4:16 pm, a Caldwell County deputy arrested a 34-year-old female from Chillicothe, MO, at Supervision Services on a Livingston County bond violation warrant on the original charge of possession of a controlled substance.

 

On 03/14/2025, at 8:02 pm, an 18-year-old male from Hamilton, MO, was stopped on Highway 13 near Old Highway 13, in Hamilton, MO, and cited for speeding (11 mph over). 

 

On 03/14/2025, at 10:26 am, a 56-year-old female from Braymer, MO, was stopped near the intersection of Highway 116 and Bethany Road in Braymer, MO, and cited for speeding (31 mph over).  

 

On 03/14/2025, at 3:16 pm, a deputy conducted a traffic stop on Panther Road in Breckenridge, MO, which resulted in the arrest of a 31-year-old male from Chillicothe, MO, for no driver's license (felony).  He remains in custody on a $10,000 cash only bond.

 

On 03/15/2025, at 2:44 pm, a 55-year-old female from Braymer, MO, was arrested at her residence on a Caldwell County warrant for failure to appear on the original charge of failing to register.

 

On 03/15/2025 at 2:50 pm, Caldwell County deputies located a vehicle at Hideaway Lakes that was reported stolen.  The reporting party was arrested for filing a false police report. 

 

On 03/15/2025, at 6:50 pm, a 25-year-old male from Shelby Township, MI, was stopped on Highway 36 at State Route B, Hamilton, MO, and cited for speeding (25 mph over). 

 

On 03/17/2025, at 7:27 am, a deputy responded to the area of John Deere Rd and Far West for a report of property damage to a vehicle caused by dog.

 

On 03/17/2025, at 7:46 am, a 22-year-old male from Kansas City, MO, was stopped on Highway 36 near Springhill Road, Hamilton, MO, and cited for expired plates (July of 2024) and no insurance.

 

On 03/18/2025, at 10:35 am, a deputy took a report of violations of the education requirements, involving a Braymer, MO, resident.  A report was forwarded to the Caldwell County Prosecutor for consideration in filing formal charges on the student's parent, and a report was forwarded to the Caldwell County Juvenile Officer.

 

On 03/20/2025 at 3:36 pm, deputies responded to the 1000 May Apple Lane, Polo, MO, for a report of a burglary not in progress.  The investigation is on-going.

 

On 03/21/2025, at 10:54 pm, a deputy responded to Polo, MO, for a report of property damage to a vehicle.

 

On 03/22/2025, at 12:27 pm, a deputy conducted a traffic stop near 13 Highway and State Route V in Polo, which resulted in the arrest of a 25-year-old female from Springfield, MO on a failure to appear traffic citation out of Henry County, MO.  A suspect has been identified, and the investigation is ongoing.

 

On 03/22/2025 at 6:57 pm, a deputy was dispatched to a residence at the 500 block of Oak in Cowgill, MO, for a report of a dispute between neighbors.  The parties involved separated, and no arrests were made.

 

On 03/23/2025, at 3:58 pm, a deputy conducted a traffic stop on Highway 13, near State Route P, for a vehicle with no front license plate.  The vehicle was not registered, was displaying a rear plate that belonged to another vehicle, and was not insured.  The driver was also in possession of an open title, which resulted in the vehicle being towed from the scene.

 

On 03/24/2025, at 10:58 am, deputies arrested a 23-year-old male from Polo, MO at a residence on La Paloma (Hideaway Lakes), on an active Livingston County warrant for endangering the welfare of a child. 

 

On 03/25/2025, at 1:51 pm, deputies arrested a 41-year-old female subject from Cameron, MO, at a residence on State Route D in Kingston, MO, on an active failure to appear Livingston County warrant, on the original charge of possession of a controlled substance.  

 

On 03/25/2025, at 5:25 pm, a 48-year-old male from Braymer, MO, was stopped on Highway 36 near State Route A, Breckenridge, MO, and cited for an equipment violation, no insurance, and expired plates (June of 2024).  

 

On 03/26/2025, at 2:26 pm, a deputy conducted a traffic stop on Elm Street in Kidder, MO, on a vehicle with no front license plate. The driver was identified as a 16-year-old from Kidder and they did not have a driver's license.  The parents of the driver were contacted, and the vehicle was removed from the scene.

 

On 03/26/2025, at 8:344 pm, a deputy was dispatched to a residence on Linden Street in Kidder, MO, for a report of a theft. The investigation is ongoing.

 

On 03/27/2025, at 11:01 pm, deputies responded to a structure fire on Wisconsin in Breckenridge, MO.  The structure was unoccupied.  

 

On 03/28/2025, at 10:14 pm, a 19-year-old male from Forest City, MO, was stopped on Highway 116 at State Route D, Polo, MO, and cited for speeding (12 mph over).  

 

On 03/28/2025, at 8:16 am, a 21-year-old male from Topeka, KS, was stopped on Highway 36 at Litton Road, Breckenridge, MO, and cited for speeding (17 mph over).

 

On 03/29/2025, at 1:25 pm, a deputy responded a residence at the 100 block of N. 8th Street in Breckenridge to recover illegal items from a vehicle.  It was reported by the owner that they loaned their vehicle to another subject and that subject was involved in a traffic crash and was arrested.  The owner of the car believes that subject left the items in his car.  The items were seized and will be properly disposed of.

 

 

On 03/31/2025, at 9:34 am, a deputy responded to Wildlife Road in Cowgill, MO, to serve an active Caldwell County warrant on a 19-year-old male from Polo, MO.  The subject was located and taken into custody.  The original charge for the warrant was possession of a controlled substance.

 

On 03/31/2025, at 7:20 pm, a 61-year-old female from Braymer, MO, was stopped at State Route A at State Route E, Braymer, MO, and cited for an expired driver's license.
